All About Our 2024 Awards

Pictured here are the winners of the prestigious Tenner-Wright award, our Foundation’s award for the top six students. The top 3 students will have the Foundation’s financial support for all four years that they attend college and the other 3 will have the Foundation’s financial support for two of their college years. From left to right, Jackeline Vences (Wellesley, Political Science), Benjamin Phung (Harvey Mudd, Engineering), Camila Fernandez (UCLA, Psychology), Matthew Lamban (Stanford, Psychology), Francisco Chitala, (Stanford, Biology), Arecely Chamale Vazquez (UCLA, Astrophysics).

For the graduating class of 2024, the Foundation was able to award a total of $197,400 to approximately 157 students. Wondering where all that money goes? Here are some fun facts: We have students with awards going to the following Ivy League schools: Cornell, Dartmouth and Yale. We also have students with awards going to the following prestigious universities: UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, Stanford, Scripps, Harvey Mudd, Wellesley and Duke. We also have 56 students with awards going to Cal State schools and 44 going to community colleges. Finally, we have 8 students who will be attending trade schools. We wish all these fine students the best – may they realize their educational dreams!
