Franklin High School Educational Foundation

A Message from Principal Marquez-Martinez

The heart of Highland Park is Benjamin Franklin! For over 100 years it has served our community. Our teachers are committed to offering a high-quality education that expects excellence from everyone that walks through our doors. Our students are meeting the challenge by meeting and exceeding standards in State Exams, enrolling in AP courses and participating in extra-curricular activities that compete against other schools in the district, county or state! Our athletic programs build confidence, teamwork and commitment to our school community. 100% of our school qualifies for free and reduced lunch, yet, at Franklin, we believe our students, regardless of social-economic status, can achieve and will be contributors to our society.

Franklin Educational Foundation has provided assistance to our first-generation college students for many years. FEF promotes our college-going climate by offering this incentive to anyone who will attend a Private, UC, CSU, Community College or Trade Tech. Students appreciate the financial support and have seen it as a lifeline in their next stage in life. Because FEF has been awarding this scholarship for many years, our students are repaying their “lifetime, no-interest loan” to the Foundation in order to help other first-generation future college students. The goal for FEF is to provide a “lifetime, no-interest loan” that will be repaid at the point of conscience for every graduating senior!

I invite you to become an integral part of the future of our students. Your generous support of any amount to the students of Franklin High School will enable a graduating Franklin senior to make the dream of a college education become a reality. Your support is a tax-deductible donation for you and an investment in the future of our Panthers.
