Franklin High School Educational Foundation

Award Recipient Profile – Bryan Martinez

Bryan Martinez (FHS Class of 2025) is currently sprinting through the Pasadena City College Honors Program, balancing Cultural Anthropology, Philosophy, Public Speaking, and Psychology, all while keeping his long-term goal in view: medical school. After last year’s UCLA waitlist turned into a “not this time,” Bryan didn’t sulk. Instead, he built a smart game plan and is already stacking up an impressive transfer record and starting MCAT prep early. He has even made time to log in volunteer hours at Huntington Hospital because, as he told us, “Your generosity makes the long road ahead far more manageable for me.” Bryan shared that our Foundation financial award is helping cover the practical must-haves like tuition, textbooks, and other essentials so that he can spend more time learning and less time stressing. He summed it up perfectly: “Your support doesn’t just open doors, it helps me walk through them with purpose.” We cheer Bryan on as we watch him turn that purpose into a profession and we are thrilled to be part of that journey. We love that he is already planning to pay it forward by mentoring younger Franklin Panthers and staying connected with our Foundation. Go Bryan!
